Private collection, Denmark [see document regarding the painting from Galerie Jean-François Heim, in curatorial file]; sold in auction in Denmark to Tom Jensen [according to an email from Jean-François Heim to Martha Wolff dated August 1, 2002, in curatorial file; and correspondence with Knut Buchman]; sold by him to Galerie Jean-François Heim, Paris, by 2002 [according to the email cited above]; purchased by the Art Institute with funds from the Connie and Donald Patterson Endowment, 2002.
