Ehrich Galleries, New York, by 1923, to 1924; sold Anderson Galleries, New York, November 12, 1924, no. 56, ill. as Chardin, to William Macbeth, Inc., New York, for $2,200 [according to annotated sale catalogue in Frick Art Reference Library, New York]; purchased from Macbeth, 1924.
